Bruno Cetraro Berriolo
Biography
Bruno Cetraro Berriolo, born in 1998, is a rower from Uruguay who competes in the men's single sculls. At the 2025 World Rowing Championships in Shanghai he placed sixth in the single sculls A-final, becoming the first Uruguayan to reach that final since 1989. He has also competed at two Olympic Games.
Cetraro made his Olympic debut at the Tokyo 2020 Games, where he finished sixth in the lightweight men's double sculls alongside Felipe Kluver. He then moved to the openweight category and raced the men's single sculls at the Paris 2024 Games, finishing 12th. At the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago he won gold in the quadruple sculls and silver in the eight.
He began his rowing at the Montevideo Rowing Club and has trained at the Club Nautico Sevilla in Spain. Across his career in the single sculls he has progressed from lightweight doubles to openweight singles, with his sixth-place finish at the 2025 World Rowing Championships standing as his strongest result on the world stage.
