The European Rowing Beach Sprints Championships decide the continental title in rowing's fastest discipline. This is the beach sprint portion of the wider European coastal week, held in La Linea, Spain, on the Bay of Gibraltar, from 15 to 16 September 2026.
Two days is all it takes. Crews work through knockout rounds in quick succession, where a single mistake on the run, the launch or a buoy turn ends a campaign. The compressed format puts a premium on consistency and cool heads under pressure.
The Bay of Gibraltar sets a lively backdrop, with tide and breeze adding their own variables to every heat. By the close of the second day, Europe's beach sprint champions are settled on the sand at La Linea.
