Built as a multi-leg run of online challenges rather than one race, the 2025 World Rowing Virtual Series carries the indoor season through the summer months. Its legs are raced from 31 May to 30 July 2025, with each entrant taking part remotely on any indoor rowing machine.
Because the series moves through several stages, the standings reward those who turn up across the whole window rather than a single strong piece. The challenges vary in shape from leg to leg, and efforts logged from home are pooled into a running order as the weeks pass.
