The 2026 World Rowing Under 23 Championships entered finals qualification on Friday, with the second day in Duisburg centred on semifinal racing across the regatta programme. It was a packed programme of racing with some of Saturday’s races rescheduled due to expected adverse weather.
For some it was a last dance in the lower finals, but for others a shot at the medal races was at stake. Friday’s semifinals decided whether crews would remain in contention for the championship A-finals during the second half of the four-day regatta. The first medals will be awarded on Saturday.
