The World Rowing Cup runs as a three round series, and Seville opens it. Held in the Spanish city from 28 to 30 May 2026, this round marks the first international racing of the year, the moment the leading nations put their winter work on the water against each other.

Racing takes place on the Guadalquivir, the river that runs through the heart of the city. A river course brings its own character, with the flow and the weather of late spring in Andalucia both part of the test that crews face here.

As the season opener, Seville sets the early tone. Crews and coaches use it to measure where they stand, and the racing offers a first read on the partnerships and line ups that nations are backing across the Olympic boat classes.
