Roos de Jong
Biography
Roos de Jong is a Dutch sculler, born in 1993 in Haarlem, Netherlands. She won an Olympic bronze medal in the women's double sculls at the 2020 Tokyo Games, partnering Lisa Scheenaard, and an Olympic silver medal in the women's quadruple sculls at the 2024 Paris Games. At the 2025 World Rowing Championships in Shanghai she won the world title in the women's double sculls with Benthe Boonstra.
De Jong built her record in Dutch sculling crews. She took World Championship silver in the women's double sculls at Racice in 2022 and in the women's quadruple sculls at Belgrade in 2023, and a World Championship bronze in the women's double sculls at Ottensheim in 2019. At European level she won gold in the women's double sculls at Plovdiv in 2025, with further European medals across the double and quadruple sculls.
She competes for the Netherlands and rows for the Dutch club DSR Proteus-Eretes. Her career through the 2025 season spans the single sculls, double sculls and quadruple sculls, with Olympic medals at two Games and a world title in the double sculls.
