On the last day of the 2023 Boat Race fixture series Oxford University Women’s Boat Club (OUWBC) lost to their local rivals and formidable neighbours Oxford Brookes University Boat Club. Despite losing to Brookes, OUWBC cox Tara Slade says her crew are Boat Race ready: “Our coach had some wise words, ‘When it feels close and real that means you are ready.’ We’re feeling ready!”
