USRowing Retains Executive Search Firm to Assist in CEO Search
5 April 2017, PRINCETON, NJ. –
The USRowing Board of Directors announced today that it has retained executive search firm Korn Ferry to assist in the search for Glen Merry’s replacement as the organisation’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
“Our goal is to find the strongest candidate to lead USRowing”
USRowing initiated its search for a new CEO last month. Korn Ferry will be working alongside the USRowing CEO Search Committee in their efforts to identify candidates who will then be invited to interview for the role. All members of the USRowing Board of Directors will be involved in the final selection of the next CEO.
“Our goal is to find the strongest candidate to lead USRowing and to thus fulfil our mission to our individual members, our organisational members, and our national team athletes,” said USRowing Board Chair Marcia Hooper. “We are excited to be working with Korn Ferry’s industry-leading Global Sports Practice in our search for USRowing’s CEO to ensure all candidates are given a fair opportunity in this process.”
Korn Ferry’s Global Sports Practice has represented top Olympic organisations and has previously completed CEO searches for the United States Olympic Committee (USOC), USA Cycling, USA Rugby, and US Ski & Snowboard Association (USSA).
Glen Merry announced his departure from USRowing in January of this year having served as CEO since 2005.
