The USRowing Board of Directors today released the summary report of the High Performance Task Force. This concludes a comprehensive review and assessment of the U.S. National Team and Training Centre programs for the Rio quadrennium ( 2012-2016).

“The Board understands the significance of this undertaking and the opportunity this assessment provides USRowing to make real changes”

The ten-member Task Force was charged with identifying what went well and what needed improvement and to make recommendations going forward for the Tokyo quadrennium (2016-2020) and beyond. A comprehensive process of interviews with national team athletes, coaches, USRowing staff, USOC, NRF and other key stakeholders provided input to the task force and was reflected in the final recommendations presented to the Board.

The High Performance Summary Report summarizes the areas addressed, findings, Board- approved recommendations and overall implementation strategy.

“On behalf of the USRowing Board of Directors, I would like to thank the Task Force for their commitment to this project and diligence in upholding the high performance standards of the U.S. National Team and our organisation,” said Marcia Hooper, USRowing Board Chair. “The Board understands the significance of this undertaking and the opportunity this assessment provides USRowing to make real changes, in both the short and long term, to support our athletes and staff for the Tokyo quadrennium and for decades beyond.”
